**PIM Admin** is the EcomCart operator workspace. It's where the **shared catalogue** (the canon), supplier imports, companies, plans and translation engines are maintained.

## How it differs from the company app

- PIM Admin has a **separate address**, reachable only from the EcomCart internal network (VPN). Only **platform operators** can sign in.
- It uses an **amber** colour scheme so it isn't confused with the company app (blue).
- By default you work with the **canon** — the shared catalogue without any company's data. The header shows **VPN** and **canon** chips.
- Company sections (Stores, Settings, API documentation) aren't in Admin — they live in the company app.
- To see a specific company's data, use [View as company](/hc/pim/articles/en-admin-view-as).
