Open **Products → Categories**. This is the **shared catalogue's category tree**.

- Search with **Search in name, path or code…**;
- **Expand all / Collapse all** opens or closes all branches.

EcomCart maintains the category tree — you can't create or rename categories. If you need a new category, contact support.

## Changing a product's category

1. Open the product → **Edit** → the **Categories** section.
2. Choose categories.
3. **Save**.

Your choice is **your change** — it fully replaces the catalogue categories in your store, while staying the same for others.

## Filtering products by category

In the product list use the **+ Category** filter. It includes all subcategories.
