Views
- Single language โ see and edit one language;
- Side by side โ languages in columns next to each other (handy for comparing with the source).
+ Language opens settings where you can turn on another content language.
Empty field
If a language has no text, the cell offers two options:
- Translate from LV (or another language) โ machine translation; the estimated price is shown next to it;
- Write it yourself โ type the text by hand.
Translate all missing translates all empty fields in all languages at once.
Where a text comes from
Each text has a pill:
- human โ written by a person (name and date);
- machine โ machine translation (with the engine name);
- translation memory ยท โฌ0 / vocabulary ยท โฌ0 โ reused existing translation, free;
- supplier โ text from the supplier;
- outdated โ the source text changed after translation.
Outdated text has Retranslate and Review buttons.
Saving
Click Save (or โS / Ctrl+S). Cancel discards unsaved changes. If you try to leave the page with unsaved changes, PIM warns you.
Edits apply only to your store โ the shared catalogue doesn't change. Fields you've changed are marked only you.
If you change the text in your main language, translations in the other languages become outdated and appear under Translations โ Needs review.
