View as company
View as company lets an operator look at a specific company's data (assortment, its changes, publications) โ read-only. Turning it on 1. Press โJ / Ctrl+J or the button in the top bar. 2. Search for the company name or slug. 3. Choose the company. Every page then shows a bar at the top: Viewing as: [company] ยท read-only, writing is disabled ยท Exit view ยท Switch company. Restrictions - Nothing can be changed. Every save is refused with Nothing can be changed in view mode โ first exit "View as". - The mode ends after 12 hours. - Starting and stopping are recorded in the audit log. Leaving Click Exit view in the bar or Back to Canon in the dialog.
๐ ๏ธ PIM Admin (operators)System monitor and audit log
System monitor At the bottom of the sidebar, System monitor. It refreshes every 30 seconds (or click Refresh): - background job queues and Failed jobs; - Scheduler โ when each scheduled task last ran; - Imports 24 h; - search engine, database and Disks. Audit log At the bottom of the sidebar, Audit log โ a record of who changed what. Filters: Entity, Action, User, Tenant, From, To. Click View to see a change's details. Operators see all companies; company users see only their own.
โ๏ธ SettingsWebhooks
A webhook is an address in your system that PIM sends a message to when something happens โ a product changed or an import finished, for example. Open Settings โ Webhooks. Administrators and Owners can add and change them. Creating a webhook 1. Click Add webhook. 2. Enter the Address (must be https://). 3. Tick the Events your system really needs. 4. Click Create webhook. 5. The webhook page opens with the Signing key. Copy it straight away (button next to it) โ it won't be shown again. A disabled webhook (Active unticked) stays saved, but no messages are sent. Events Products: product created, changed, archived, published to a store, added to the assortment, products merged / merge undone, product unlinked, variant linked to / unlinked from its parent. Images and files: image or file uploaded, images or files changed. Texts and properties: translation completed, enrichment completed, properties merged / merge undone. Suppliers: import completed, offer no longer available, supplier attached / detached. Verifying the signature Every request carries the header: X-Ecompim-Signature: t=<unix time>,v1=<signature> v1 = HMAC-SHA256(signing key, t + "." + request body), in hex. Verify the signature and reject old requests (for example when t is older than 5 minutes). PIM generates the signing key automatically and shows it only once; later only its last 4 characters are visible. If the key is lost or compromised, click Change key and confirm โ the old key stops working immediately and the new one is shown once. Remember to put it into your system. If your system doesn't respond PIM tries 4 times: immediately, after 1 minute, after 5 minutes and after 30 minutes. After that the event isn't sent again. To make sure you don't miss anything, also use the /api/v1/events API endpoint โ it holds every event and can be read at any time.
๐ฆ ProductsEditing a product
On the product card click Edit (or โฏ โ Edit in the list). The full editor opens. Sections - Basic data โ name, SKU, EAN, manufacturer, product type; - Texts โ name, descriptions and SEO texts; - Properties โ technical properties; - Images and files; - Categories; - Price and stock โ your price, sale price and stock; - Variants (read-only), Options, Commerce, Related, Certificates, Fitment, Hazards, SEO and content. On the right: Completeness (what % of required fields is filled), Workflow and Translation. What you can change Basic data (SKU, EAN/GTIN, MPN, status, type, state, manufacturer and product type) is read-only for you โ the section shows a lock and the note Core data is maintained in the shared EcomCart catalogue โ it's read-only for you. If one of these fields is wrong, contact support. Everything else you can change for your store. Your edits are saved as your changes โ they apply to your store only, and the shared catalogue doesn't change: - texts in all languages (name, short description, description, SEO title, SEO description); - properties; - dimensions and weight; - categories (your choice fully replaces the catalogue's categories); - price, sale price, stock and status in assortment. Choose images on the Your changes page (Image selection). Fields you've changed carry a Your edit pill. Saving Click Save. After saving you'll see how many fields were saved as your changes. Workflow In the Workflow panel you can: - change the review state: Draft โ In review โ Approved โ Published; - assign a person and a due date; - write comments for colleagues (Resolve / Reopen); - see versions. A product must be Approved before it can be published to a store. See Publishing a single product. Removing from the assortment Remove from catalogue removes the product from your assortment only. The shared catalogue stays untouched, and you can add the product again later.
๐ Suppliers and importsData provenance โ which supplier the data comes from
When several suppliers offer a product, PIM picks one value per field. On the product card open the Suppliers tab (the Suppliers and provenance page). What the page shows - for each field โ which supplier's value is used; - each supplier's version (exactly what they sent); - properties the supplier sent that the system doesn't recognise yet. You see your own (linked) suppliers by name; the others are shown as Another supplier. Filters: Locked only and Only with several sources. How PIM picks a value 1. Fields changed by a person or locked are never overwritten. 2. For other fields the supplier with the highest priority wins. Supplier priority and field locks are managed by EcomCart. If you think the wrong supplier wins, contact support with the product's SKU and the field. Your changes are separate from this choice โ they're always used in your store, however supplier data changes.
๐ Getting startedInterface language, dark mode and quick search
Interface language The PIM interface is available in five languages: Latvian, English, Russian, Lithuanian and Estonian. 1. In the top bar click the language flag (for example ๐ฌ๐ง EN). 2. Choose a language. The choice is saved for your user โ next time you sign in, PIM opens in the same language. Product names are shown in the interface language. If a product has no name in that language, you'll see the name in another language with that language's flag โ so it's obvious the translation is missing. The interface language is not the same as content languages. The interface language is the language of buttons and menus. Content languages are the languages your product texts exist in โ they are set under Settings โ Languages. See Content languages. Light and dark mode The top bar has three buttons: - Light โ always light; - System โ follows your computer or phone setting; - Dark โ always dark. The choice is saved in this browser (on another computer you choose again). Quick search and commands (โK) Press โK (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows), or click the search field at the top. - Type a product name, SKU or EAN to open the product straight away. - Type a page name (for example "Queue" or "Settings") to go there. Sidebar The main menu is on the left. Some items show a number โ for example, how many suggestions are waiting for a decision or how many translations need review.
