Adding products
How products get into your assortment from the shared catalogue
Adding products from the catalogue
The shared catalogue holds the products of all EcomCart suppliers. Your assortment contains only those you choose (or that suppliers linked to you add automatically). Adding manually 1. Open Products โ All products. 2. Click Add from catalogue. 3. Search by SKU or name (at least 2 characters). You'll see up to 20 results with SKU, manufacturer and source. 4. Click Add next to the product you want. The product appears in your assortment straight away with the Selected status, prices in EUR and stock 0 โ enter price and stock in the editor, or have your system send them through the API. If the product is already in your assortment, you'll see an Already in assortment badge instead. Adding needs permission to edit products (the Editor role or higher). Automatically from a supplier If EcomCart has linked a supplier to you with automatic adding, every new product from that supplier lands in your assortment by itself. A product you've removed is not added back automatically. To link a supplier, contact support. See Suppliers and imports. If the product isn't in the catalogue Write to us in the chat: give the supplier, the product's SKU/EAN and, if possible, a link to the product on the supplier's website.
Removing from the assortment and excluding
There are two ways to "hide" a product: | | Off | Remove from assortment | |---|---|---| | Stays in your list | yes (visible with the Excluded only filter) | no | | Your changes are kept | yes | no | | Published to stores | no | no | | How to bring it back | change the status to Selected | add it from the catalogue again | Excluding - One product: in the editor set status in assortment to Off. - Many: select products โ Edit โ Change status in assortment โ Off. Removing from the assortment - One product: in the editor click Remove from catalogue. - Many: select products โ Edit โ Remove from assortment. In both cases the shared catalogue is not deleted โ the product stays available to add. We recommend Off when a product is only temporarily not needed (a seasonal item, for example) โ you keep your texts and prices.
